Authorization for Treatment of Minor Child Unaccompanied by Parent/Guardian

Our pediatrics department provides care to children beginning at birth through age 18. Services include annual well-child checkups, immunizations, school/sports physicals, and routine care for common childhood conditions like asthma and skin rashes. Need to be seen today? Pediatric patients can visit our walk-in clinic at the Lisbon Avenue Health Center or our 12th Street Urgent Care.

Reach Out and Read

In 2020, the impact of Reach Out and Read included over 400 new books given during Well-Child Checks and 700 used books donated to literacy-rich waiting rooms.

Reach out and Read is an evidence-based program that supports early childhood literacy and development through pediatric care through offering a literacy-rich waiting room, promotion of reading by clinicians, and books given in exam rooms. 

Early literacy is seen to be one key determinant of a child’s reading level and future academic success, and children participating in Reach Out and Read tend to have increased language development in comparison to non-participating children.
