- From the start of her studies at Marquette, Sophia knew she wanted a career in healthcare that would allow her to provide care to those who might not otherwise receive it. Discovering the opportunity to serve as a dentist in community health solidified her pursuit of a DDS degree.
As an undergraduate, she volunteered at one of Marquette’s dental clinics and later worked as a dental assistant in Menomonee Falls. Throughout dental school, Sophia enjoyed caring for residents of Milwaukee and beyond. Having grown up in nearby Franklin, she is excited to remain close to home and begin her career at Progressive Community Health Centers.
Sophia believes it is the responsibility of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care to every patient while also working to improve access to healthcare and health literacy in underserved areas. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys cycling through different hobbies — most recently reading and painting the rooms in her new home.
