- Throughout her life, Melissa’s vocation has been to serve through medicine. Early in her career, she held various roles, including working as a CNA, EMT, and Outreach Associate. Her passion for providing care to underserved communities grew during her AmeriCorps service with the Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. During her undergraduate studies, she dedicated time to outreach and fundraising efforts at a free clinic in her hometown. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career as a practitioner, leading her to enter her PA program with a strong commitment to addressing the social determinants of health in the Milwaukee community.
Melissa was especially drawn to Progressive Community Health Centers for its collaborative team dynamic and wide array of services, ensuring that patients remain at the forefront of their medical care. As an urgent care provider, her goal is to connect patients with available community resources while delivering comprehensive, evidence-based education and interventions that promote holistic well-being throughout the lifespan.
