  • Diana returned to Wisconsin in 1998 after practicing in Chicago for 10 years to pursue a Master’s in Social Work. After earning her degree in 2001, she spent six years at the Children’s Service Society in various roles, culminating in her position as Education Program Manager. She received a Fellowship for the inaugural PhD cohort in Social Work at UW-Milwaukee, where she studied from 2007 to 2011. In 2012, Diana taught Cultural Diversity and Social Work at UW-Milwaukee before starting as an SBIRT Health Coach with the Emergency Medicine Specialists medical group. Over the course of 11 years, she worked in the Emergency Department at St. Joseph Hospital before joining PCHC. Her practice is centered on a whole-person approach that emphasizes understanding patient strengths and resilience, while also acknowledging the profound impact of societal factors such as poverty, racism, and violence on patients’ lives and health. This perspective shapes treatment goals and plans, allowing her to support patients as they become agents of their own change, making gradual yet significant progress toward their goals.
