- A seasoned health technology executive and community health advocate, Julie Huebner joins Progressive Community Health Center as Chief Information Officer with over two decades of driving innovation, transformation, and equity across healthcare systems. With a proven track record of building high-performance teams, navigating complex digital infrastructures, and championing care for underserved populations, they bring a rare blend of operational precision and empathetic leadership. After college, Julie started her career within the property and casualty industry, working in insurance claims. She enjoyed helping people navigate difficult situations. In 2001, she graduated from UW-Madison with a Master’s degree in Risk Management and took a position with Epic – Verona, WI. It was there; Julie found her passion for health information technology (HIT) and community health centers. At Epic, Julie helped implement six community health centers in Oregon on Epic’s practice management software. In 2003, Julie began working with OCHIN, collaborating closely with them to assist and implement Epic in over 100 community health centers across 14 states. At OCHIN, Julie served as the Director of Epic Product Development, leading the initiative to develop an EHR platform tailored to the unique model of care provided by health centers. In 2010, while at OCHIN, she helped implement Progressive CHC on the Epic system. In 2017, Julie assumed the position of Executive Director of Ambulatory Services at Froedtert Health. In May of 2018, she left Froedtert Health to be more present in her family’s life. Since October 2018, Julie has been consulting with community health centers to maximize their EHR investments.
