National Health Center Week Recap

Thank you to all who participated in or helped support our third annual Health, Wellness and Resource Day in celebration of National Health Center Week. The event, which was co-sponsored by Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, was filled with lots of great memories and services for our community. We estimate that more than 300 people came out to enjoy the festivities throughout the day.

Here’s a rundown of highlights:

• A total of 42 women completed mammograms.
• A total of 11 men got free prostate cancer screenings.
• A total of 14 people donated blood, which will save 36 lives in our community.
• More than 25 community organizations participated in the resource fair.
• Gee’s Clippers provided nearly 50 free haircuts.
• The Milwaukee Bucks were a huge hit! A large crowd showed up for autographs from Bucks player, Donte DiVincenzo, mascot Bango and the Hoop Troop entertainment crew.
